Social Cognition and Emotion Lab: Directed Studies Opportunity

UBC Psychology Professor Elizabeth Dunn’s Social Cognition and Emotion Lab (“The Happy Lab”) is looking for several Directed Studies students for the 2026-2027 school year.

Due to the complexity of the project, applicants should have a minimum GPA of 85%, as well as strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. We are looking for candidates with previous research assistant (RA) experience, preferably in a leadership role.

Relevant experience might include managing participant recruitment, helping to run lab or field experiments, or coordinating shifts for a team of RAs.

Interested students should send their CV, unofficial transcript, and a short paragraph describing their previous research experience to the lab manager, Jade, at socialcognition.labmanager@psych.ubc.ca.
