About
Cindy is a graduate student in Clinical Psychology under the supervision of Dr. E. David Klonsky. She brings an interdisciplinary perspective to her research, spanning Psychology (BA), Epidemiology (MSc), and Health Sciences (BHSc). Her primary research focuses on emotional distress and suicidality, with the goal of better supporting individuals in their darkest moments. Specifically, she explores the lived experiences of young adults turning to AI chatbots during distress and suicidal ideation.

Research interests include: Suicidal ideation, emotional distress and emotion dysregulation, AI chatbots, ecological momentary assessment (EMA), mixed-methods, quantitative methods.
