Celebrating a distinguished group of talents and trailblazers.

Dr. Friedrich Götz, assistant professor in UBC’s department of psychology, was named Top 40 under 40 by Capital, a German monthly business magazine. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of 40 ambitious hopefuls under the age of 40 and is one of the most important awards for young decision-makers in Germany.

“I am delighted and – most pleasantly – surprised to be featured on Capital's 2024 top 40 under 40 list for Germany. It is a big honour for me to be included alongside so many brilliant minds and inspirational people across politics, business, science, and society. I don't usually think of myself as someone at the forefront of Germany's younger generation – and I don't necessarily think that this recognition will change that – but I will do everything I can to live up to the promise that the selection committee has seen in me.”
