Help the UBC Perception & Cognition Lab understand how we perceive objects and events in the world.
Purpose
The Perceiving Objects and Events Study investigates how people see, perceive, and think about objects and events in the world. While participation may not provide any direct benefit to you, the findings may contribute to scientific knowledge about human perception, cognition, and the workings of the mind.
About
In this study, you will be asked to examine simple shapes or images, or to listen to simple musical sequences. Afterwards, you will be asked to answer questions about what you saw or heard by pressing some keys or using a computer mouse. The study will take 60 minutes.
Eligibility requirements
- Ages 18-35
- Be proficient in English
- Have corrected-to-normal vision and normal colour vision
- Be able to do computer-based tasks
Compensation
Participants will be compensated up to $15 CAD (Amazon Gift Card).
