Congratulations to UBC Psychology Professor Elizabeth Dunn! She’s a finalist for the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) Connection Award, which recognizes an outstanding SSHRC-funded initiative to facilitate the flow and exchange of research knowledge within and/or beyond the academic community.
The Impact Awards recognize the highest achievements from outstanding researchers, students and research partners in social sciences and humanities research, research training, knowledge mobilization and scholarship funded partially or completely by SSHRC. The successful recipient will be presented with their award at a ceremony in Ottawa on November 16, 2015. View the SSHRC media release.
Elizabeth Dunn
Dr. Dunn’s research is focussed on happiness; money and spending decisions; self-knowledge; affective forecasting and implicit social cognition. Her research has gained her many media talks, including a TEDx talk looking at the value of time and the problems it can cause. Along with her TEDx talk, she has published multiple journal articles and is the co-author of the successful book Happy Money: The Science of Happier Spending.
