Congratulations to UBC Psychology Professor Dr. Kiley Hamlin who received a 2015 UBC Faculty Research Award. Dr. Hamlin is the recipient of the UBC Killam Research Prize in the Arts and Humanities Junior Category, which recognizes outstanding research and scholarly contributions at UBC.
Each spring, the Office of the Vice President Research & International hosts an awards reception where the recipients will be acknowledged and applauded before other esteemed faculty and scholars. The reception will be held in the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre on Wednesday March 30, 2016. Winners of these peer-nominated awards were selected by UBC’s Faculty Research Award Committee, which spans arts and humanities, business, education, applied science, science, and medicine. More.

Dr. Hamlin is an Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Developmental Psychology. Her research focuses on the role of evaluative processes in everyday cognitions about the world. Seeking to study the foundational origins of these processes before complex cognitive abilities fully develop, Dr. Hamlin works with pre-verbal infants and young toddlers in her research.
