Dr. Joelle LeMoult was named a 2017 Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science (APS).
The Rising Star designation recognizes outstanding psychological scientists in the earliest stages of their research career post-PhD whose innovative work has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributions.
“I am incredibly honoured to receive this award and am grateful to the people who nominated me. It's exciting that people are talking about my work, and it means a lot to be listed beside so many excellent researchers.”
LeMoult, who is director of the Depression and Stress Lab, works to better understand the onset, presentation, and course of depression and anxiety disorders in adolescents and adults. “We are particularly interested in why some individuals experience depression and anxiety in response to stress and why others do not,” says Dr. LeMoult.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. LeMoult!
