Congratulations to UBC Psychology MA student Jennifer Lay, recipient of a 2014 Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship! Jennifer is one of thirty-two UBC doctoral students awarded $50,000 a year for three years. This award allows Jennifer to continue her research in ‘Overcoming barriers to social engagement: Exploring associations between self-esteem, social self-efficacy, everyday helping behaviour, and well-being in older adults.’
