We celebrate the remarkable achievements of Jessie Ramsay and Katie Stevens, two UBC Psychology alumni who received 2024 Business in Vancouver (BIV) Top 40 Under 40 Awards.
The BIV Top 40 Under 40 Award honours young business leaders in British Columbia who have demonstrated exceptional professional success, community engagement, and leadership. Since 1989, these awards have celebrated approximately 1,400 young entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals who are making a significant impact in their industries and communities.
This year’s recipients were celebrated at an awards gala on February 7, 2025. We are proud of our outstanding alumni among this year’s honorees:
Jessie Ramsay is a Partner at Baker Newby LLP, where she specializes in Indigenous law. She has been instrumental in advancing reconciliation and Indigenous rights.

Katie Stevens is the Managing Partner at Talk Shop. She leads communication strategies that make a real impact for clients across various industries.
