Congratulations to Dr. Rosie Shrout, who was named a 2025 Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science (APS).
The Rising Star designation recognizes outstanding psychological scientists in the earliest stages of their research career post-PhD whose innovative work has already advanced the field and signals great potential for their continued contributions.
Dr. Shrout, who joined UBC Psychology in July 2025 as Assistant Professor, received this recognition while she was at Perdue University. Dr. Shrout studies how couples’ stress affects their relationships and health. Her work focuses on the underlying psychological, behavioural, and biological pathways connecting stress to people’s own and their partners’ relational and physical health across adulthood and later life.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Shrout on this achievement!
