Meet Pets of UBC Psych’s newest family member and undergraduate student Cassie Collis’ adorable cat, Phoebe Buffay.
Named after the quirky Friends character, Phoebe is an equally quirky and adorable 3 years-old Scottish Fold; just look at her in all her glory at her 1st birthday party.
True to her namesake, Phoebe–also nicknamed Pheebs, Princess Consuella, and Regina Phalange–can be a little… eccentric. We have been told that she spends most of her time on her back, with her paws up in the air. Cassie has no idea why she does that, but thinks Phoebe must find it comfortable.
Cassie shared that “…as a kitten, she once was sniffing around a mailing envelope and playing with it but ended up getting her head stuck inside and was running around with the envelope on her head (I took it off for her of course, but not before it made me laugh).”
