Pets of UBC Psych: Logan

Meet Logan, aka Loghi, a 4-years old German Shepherd and the handsome pet of undergraduate student Jessica Renteria.

Logan may look like a handsome, strapping young man, but in reality, he is just a large, goofy puppy at heart, earning him the nicknames love bug and gentle giant. His gentle disposition means he even lets puppies, babies, and cats bully him around!

Jessica describes Logan as her second shadow and is the sweetest boy with more patience than her. Logan, however, isn’t always easy to please. “For a dog, he is the pickiest eater. However, he likes his plain Greek yogurt and will give a double high five for a snack, and he also loves to play hide-&-go seek with his treats.”

Hide-&-go seek also brings about a funny story: “We were playing hide-&-go seek once, and he crawled under the bed. He easily squeezed in, but got stuck when it came time to getting out. I lifted the wooden bed frame with the strength of a worried momma to get him out. Never again has he tried to do that again.” A gentle, adorable giant, Logan indeed is.
