We are pleased to announce that Dr. Janet Werker is the recipient of the 2017 Pickering Award for Outstanding Contribution to Developmental Psychology in Canada. The award, presented by the Pickering Centre for Research in Human Development at Carleton University, was created to honour Canadians who have made outstanding contributions to developmental psychology in the areas of leadership, mentorship, and scholarship. Recent recipients include Debra Pepler (2015), Ken Rubin (2014), Clyde Hertzman (2012), Richard Tremblay (2011), and Jeff Bisanz (2010).
Dr. Werker will receive this award at an event at Carleton University on Thursday May 18 2017, where she will also present the 2017 Pickering Lecture (Language Acquisition in Monolingual and Bilingual Learning Infants).
