“By understanding the origins and structure of our numeric thoughts, we can shape STEM educational policies for both children and adults,” says Odic, Principal Investigator of the Centre for Cognitive Development. “The teaching and learning of math, science, and engineering can be made easier and more efficient. And by understanding how language enriches quantitative reasoning, we can create new tools for talking about numbers and math, further enriching our ability to communicate, cooperate, and learn from each other.”
