The Memory and Imagination Lab is recruiting volunteer Research Assistants who can commit to 10 hours a week.
About the RA position
Dr. Daniela Palombo’s Memory and Imagination Lab is currently focussing on creating a standardized database of 3D rendered animal specimen photographs for use in virtual reality studies in Cognitive Science and release of the validated database for use in affective research in virtual reality. The RA position would include the following: capturing specimens using DSLR camera, use of Blender, Reality Capture and Unity.
Position Requirements
- Basic understanding of DSLR Cameras
- Willing to learn and adapt
- Available 10hrs/ week (2 x 5 hour shifts)
- Comfort with photographing a variety of animal museum specimens (e.g., snakes)
- Comfortable with Windows 11
- Experience with Blender & Reality Capture & Unity preferred
- Willing to learn the softwares
- Attention to detail
- Bonus: C# programming
