Perfectionism & Psychopathology Research Lab

The Perfectionism and Psychopathology Lab is looking for enthusiastic and motivated students to volunteer with us starting September 2017. Your major tasks as a volunteer will include recruiting and scheduling research participants, conducting literature review, coding, data entry, manuscript preparation, as well as performing other administrative tasks in the laboratory.

Training on all skills necessary for the position will be provided. Our RAs will be given preference for directed studies/honours thesis projects starting September 2017 and/or January 2018. Other educational opportunities are available through regular lab meetings and seminars. Supervision will be provided by graduate students and senior undergraduate research assistants in our lab.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Students who have a minimum of “B” (or 75%) psychology GPA are welcome to apply
  • Computer skills (particularly experience with SPSS and Excel) are an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
  • Must be adept and comfortable interacting with participants, and possess the ability to multitask
  • Candidates with prior research experience are preferred; however all are welcome to apply.

Hours of work available/week: 8-10 hours/week for a minimum of 6 months
