Each year, UBC Psychology proudly celebrates the achievements of our graduate students—scholars whose dedication to research, teaching, and academic excellence enriches both our community and the broader field of psychology.
Join us in congratulating the following graduate students on this recognition:
Indigenous Graduate Fellowship
The Indigenous Graduate Fellowship was awarded to Jen Hyslop.
The fellowship is awarded by UBC to Indigenous MA and PhD students to provide additional resources to support their research.
Stanley Coren Prize in Psychology
The Stanley Coren Prize was awarded to Gabrielle Ibasco.
The prize is awarded on the recommendation of the Department of Psychology to a graduate student presenting an outstanding Master’s thesis in psychology.
Morris Belkin Prize for Best Dissertation
The Belkin Prize is awarded to Kiarah O’Kane.
The Department of Psychology awards the Morris Belkin Prize each year for the best dissertation. Students carry out a research project and report on its development during seminars. Students also discuss research by Departmental staff, with emphasis on choice of problems, research design and data analysis.
