The MA in Psychology requires full-time resident study and should be completed within two years. At least 30 credits of coursework are required, including core program courses, graduate statistics, and breadth courses within Psychology. Exact requirements vary by Research Area. In addition to courses, MA students are required to complete a thesis and present their research at the annual PsychFest conference held in our department. Upon completion of the MA program, students must apply for acceptance into the PhD program; acceptance depends upon the quality of the master’s work. Complete MA program requirements can be found in the Graduate Student Handbook.
